Our Story
The name Sunray originated from the Northcroft family farm in Zimbabwe.
As long ago as the late 1940s, my father in law, Walter Northcroft, bought a piece of land in an area north of Harare called Shamva. Having left the R.A.F. after the Second World War, he settled with his wife and family on this farm.
He was inspired by the view over the Shashi hills as he watched the sun rise and set.
The name Sunray depicts a new beginning and a new life.
Lynne and her family opened Sunray in June 2010 with their first little boy, Edward. We have now grown into a well-established, professional-run nursery whilst maintaining the homely, loving feel of the nursery we set out to be.
We could not be happier and neither could our little boy. We feel so lucky to have found a nursery that always feels like the most amazing care and quality of experience is provided. Thanks so much to you all.
